A big week for the site. The Tavern got a full round of quality-of-life upgrades, a new Achievements page launched, and several long-standing mobile issues were fixed. Here’s everything that shipped.

NEW Tavern — Category Filter Tabs
The Tavern feed now has a scrollable category bar at the top. Tap any tab to filter posts to that category. Tap All to return to the full feed.
- Categories: All, Official Update, AOEM Update, KvK, DD, GEE, Arena, Open Field, Rally
- Active tab is highlighted — amber for most categories, blue/gold for AOEM Update
- Switching tabs clears any active hashtag filter
- On desktop: click and drag left/right to scroll through the tabs
- On mobile: swipe horizontally as usual
NEW Tavern — Official Update Tags
Admins now have two dedicated post tags for announcements, visible in the compose modal and on the post itself.
- Official Update — for site news and feature announcements. Amber color, Invictus logo.
- AOEM Official Update — for Age of Empires Mobile game news. AoE Mobile blue/gold color, AOEM logo.
- Both tags are admin-only — regular users cannot select or assign them
- Admins can also change any post’s category directly from the feed via the tag icon that appears on hover
IMPROVED Tavern — Moderation Tools
Several moderation and content management improvements shipped this week.
- Comment delete — deleting a comment now removes the entire element including the avatar. Previously the avatar was left behind.
- Pin / Unpin posts — admins can pin a post to the top of the feed. Only one post can be pinned at a time.
- Delete own posts — users can now delete their own posts and comments
- Read more — long posts are automatically truncated with a “Read more” expand button
- Category editing — hover any post as an admin to see the tag icon. Click to reassign the category instantly without a page reload.
NEW Achievements Page
A dedicated Achievements page is now live on profiles. Upload your in-game achievement screenshots and share them with the community.
- War Chronicle book design with a lightbox gallery
- Uploading an achievement automatically posts to the Tavern with the Achievement badge
- Accessible from the Profile page and the mobile Quick Actions grid
NEW Username Change
You can now change your username directly from Account Settings.
- Cost: 100 War Coins
- Cooldown: 30 days between changes
- Available in Settings → Account
IMPROVED Server Merge Page
The Server Merge guide page got a content update ahead of the April 14/16 merge dates.
- Official AoE Mobile introduction video now embedded at the top of the page
- New Post-Merge Events section added: Mail Gift, Alliance Glory event (3 stages), Pioneer the Path, Preparation Supplies, and MGE expanded ranking pool
- Warm-up quest description corrected — Daily + Limited quests (not Stage)
IMPROVED Mobile & Safe Zone Fixes
Several mobile display issues were resolved this week.
- Search safe zone — in fullscreen mode the search overlay now renders below the notch/status bar instead of behind it
- Landscape mode header — phones held horizontally now show the mobile hamburger menu instead of the desktop nav (which was too wide to be usable in landscape)
- Quick Actions grid — Tavern, Profile, and Achievements shortcut buttons added to the mobile home Quick Actions grid
IMPROVED KVK Plan
The KVK Plan page received a major content and navigation update.
- Added to the Kingdom tab navigation — accessible directly from the Kingdom page
- Full tactical map with interactive scenario tabs (Open Field, DD, IC, Rally, Counter-Rally)
- Counter-Rally tactic added: when enemy captures an IC or tower, a 5-minute rally timer starts — strike while the rally is marching
- Lü Bu counter strategy documented: Cyrus attacks allied Lü Bu to bait kills, then Ramses/Miyamoto cleans up
- Full English translation completed
IMPROVED Hero Talent Tree
Several bugs in the talent tree editor were fixed.
- Commander node tooltips now display correctly on hover
- Changing a node’s icon in the admin editor now immediately updates the name, effect, and level in the tooltip
- Three new gathering nodes added: Gathering Protection 1, Gathering Protection 2, and Gathering Retreat
- Marshall specialty hub filter color corrected to proper gold tone
